According to What’s on Netflix, filming for series 2 has wrapped on 24 Oct 2026, so now the production team is moving into the next phase of post-production on series 2 which follows the second Jussi Adler-Olsen book titled Disgrace.
Netflix hasn’t announced a release date for series 2 yet, but it won’t be before next year. Based on previous feedback from the editing team regarding the duration of the post-production process, the best estimate we have is some time in the second half of 2027.
What’s also interesting is that What’s On Netflix shared some viewer data from series 1, which spent six weeks in the global Netflix top 10, with 27 million views and 222.1 million hours watched. It stayed in the UK’s Netflix top 10 for 63 days.
It’s great to know things are moving along and we’ve reached another milestone in the journey of bringing series 2 to fruition!
