Continue readingIt was just announced that the ‘Bloody Scotland’ festival will host a panel discussion with Scott Frank, Matthew Goode, Kate Dickie, Alexej Manvelov and Leah Byrne on 20th September at 3:00 pm in Stirling, Scotland where they will be discussing the upcoming series.
Tickets are £15 and can be purchased here.

Just a quick note that there is a ton of horrible and plain wrong AI generated slop in circulation on social media Dept. Q, spreading false information and release dates.
I see almost daily posts on Facebook these days with AI generated key art posters for season 2, claiming it’ll be released in 2026, often containing incorrect information about cast and plot.

Having spent some time in Edinburgh in January 2026 where I literally stayed in the building next to where the Netflix version of Carl Morck is meant to live, I’ve learned quite a few things that I’d love to share, plus there is existing information out there about the series’ exterior and interior locations, sets, props and character backstories that I have collected.

Since I love Scotland and it had been a while that I’d been to Edinburgh, it seemed like both a crazy and a cool idea to go to Scotland’s capital. Granted, not the best time of year to do this in January. But there’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad choice of clothing, right? And so, soon after, the time off work was approved and my best friend and I were booked on flights.

I don’t have a conclusive answer for this, but I’ve sat down and gone through all the episodes to try and figure out how many actual days were shown between Carl coming back to work after the shooting and finding Merritt.
